TJ Project
Ownership:
251 unpatented mining claims totaling approximately 1,990 hectares on BLM land, following an 88% land expansion announced April 28, 2026.
For details on the earn-in agreement visit headwatergold.com for news release dated 10/15/2025
Under the partnership, Headwater will be the initial operator of the Project and will receive a 10% management fee
Property Highlights:
- District-scale CSAMT resistivity and ground gravity surveys underway, fully funded by OceanaGold under the TJ earn-in agreement
- Program designed to define the northern extension of the large alteration system identified beneath the TJ sinter during 2025 core drilling
- 2025 core drilling returned the highest gold grades reported to date at TJ, including 5.61 g/t Au over 0.70 m, and confirmed a large, structurally controlled epithermal system open along strike and at depth
- Recently expanded land position increased the Project by 88% to approximately 1,990 hectares, covering the interpreted northern continuation of the TJ Graben
Exploration History:
Shallow rotary drilling by Kennecott and Challenger Minerals between 1988 and 1992 encountered anomalous gold and silver but did not test the deeper high-grade vein potential
Headwater completed an initial reverse-circulation drill program in 2024, confirming a large epithermal alteration system beneath the TJ sinter
Follow-up core drilling in 2025 returned the highest gold grades reported to date at TJ, including 5.61 g/t Au over 0.70 m, and confirmed a large, structurally controlled epithermal system associated with the TJ Graben
Recent exploration has expanded northward, with district-scale CSAMT resistivity and ground gravity surveys underway to define the northern extension of the TJ system beneath shallow cover
